BIOGRAPHY

From being small, I have always had the drive, passion and desire to help people. Throughout my life I have danced, hurdled, played hockey, netball, swam, sprinted, attended classes and gyms and been to every boot camp under the sun, but I have always worked in an office environment where my passion simply didn’t lie. After spending too long behind a desk with my creativity and enthusiasm stumped, I decided to develop in the areas I loved the most.. keeping fit and helping people to achieve the same too.

It is there the decision was made to pursue a career in Personal Training. Not just to satisfy my own love of learning about health, fitness and nutrition, but to be able to share my knowledge with my clients. Whether you are feeling unhappy due to a lack of general fitness, unhealthy eating habits, low confidence levels or a desire for weight loss, my only focus and my daily drive to get up in the morning is to bring a happier and healthier person out on the other side of my sessions. I have always loved meeting new people from all cultures and backgrounds, always with an open mind and the typical ‘Lauren’ excitement, for a new fitness journey to begin.

It is in my nature to be learning continuously, and learning about modern training techniques allows me to create new and innovative fitness plans to keep clients’ sessions interesting… and fun!I thrive on building strong and open relationships with my clients built on trust and respect, and always being professional, friendly and approachable.

Recently adding another branch to my learning tree, I am a qualified Pilates teacher and now run several classes a week, also offering private Pilates to clients in their homes to build on strength, balance, coordination, flexibility and mindfulness to relax and recharge the mind. Don’t worry… mindfulness is not just about sitting cross legged and humming, but a technique which uses positive mental attitude exercises, giving you ways to lift your mood in times you feel overwhelmed, and to find a way for my clients to have healthy minds as well as healthy bodies.

From Women’s League hockey players and fitness fanatics through to mums & dads, young professionals or groups of friends, I can develop a plan for you to lose weight, change your body and mind, and become a healthier, happier person long term.
Making changes in your lifestyle are hard.. but when you have a Lauren on your side to motivate and spread the sparkle in your life, you’re already winning!
