BIOGRAPHY

Since being young, sport has always had an influence in my life. I trained and competed in Judo and played professional Football, thus dedicating my life to competitive sport.

After a few years of high impact and wear and tear, I was faced with my first serious injury, a knee operation which meant I had to finish my Judo. However I continued to play football and it soon took off when I was back fit after rehab.

I moved from Manchester United women’s football team across the city to Manchester City women’s football team, we were promoted twice in 2 seasons and moreover turned professional. A few more seasons under my belt and unfortunately I faced my second knee operation. On this occasion it didn’t go as well as planned.

After a long rehab I decided to try and carry on playing professional football by moving to Norway, but after a few months, things weren’t going as well as hoped and at that point I needed to really have a think about what I wanted to do going forward. A couple of months passed and I made my mind up, I wanted to start helping other people rather then concentrating on my professional football career!

Whilst I had been playing professional football, I had also been completing extensive educational studies around Sports Massage, gaining experience of working with clients in a Physiotherapist clinic in Didsbury. In early 2013 I decided I wanted to build my own client base and further my skills with Injury treatment and rehabilitation.

Although I am qualified as a Sports Therapist, this doesn’t mean I can’t treat you unless you are active. I treat everything from sporting injuries to repetitive strain injuries due to work, furthermore treating many clients for muscular aches and pains or postural problems. I love helping to get people mobile again, if you have any movement issues or more specific injuries, I’m your women to treat them!
